JOOLA North America and North American Table Tennis in conjunction with TTBL (Tischtennis Bundesliga in Germany) presents to you an exciting opportunity to catch a regular season match for the premier table tennis league right here in the United States! We have two amazing teams comprising some of the top-ranked table tennis players from around the world that will be fighting it out at the Gaylord National Harbor Resort in National Harbor, Maryland. The match will be held on Friday, November 24th, 2017 at 1:00PM in the Prince Georges Exhibit Hall in conjunction with the JOOLA North American Teams Table Tennis Championships. This is our 20th year running this event in the Baltimore Washington Metropolitan area and we are ecstatic to be able to bring more professional table tennis to our participants and spectators, said Richard Lee, President of JOOLA North America.

Post SV Mlhausen was founded in 1951 and has since moved its way up to become a 7th seed in Bundesliga. Theyre looking forward to another promising season with last years addition of JOOLA sponsored player, Daniel Habesohn.
ASV Grnwettersbach, the name for the small city in which the team calls home outside of Karlsruhle, Germany, is a relatively new team founded in 2015. The team has been making waves in the league. Masataka Morizono, one of their top players, earned a Silver medal in Doubles at the ITTF World Championships this year. When the team isnt competing, they train daily at their newly renovated and dedicated training center alongside 15-20 visiting players, many of them ranked in the Top 100 in the world.
We are excited to announce that our regular season matchup will be ASV Grnwettersbach versus Post SV Mlhausen. The matchup will be played in the TTBL regular season format where the teams will select a lineup to compete in a 3 out of 5 match series with each match 3 out of 5 games to 11 points. First team to 3 win matches wins! The matchup will begin with an opening presentation of both lineups along with their coach and the match officials and the first match begins promptly afterwards. There are brief breaks between matches and a 15-minute stretch break between the 2nd and 3rd matches.
Tischtennis Bundesliga is the German professional table tennis league that is the second largest league in the world. It is the basis of professional table tennis worldwide with many of the top ITTF ranked players competing. It comprises 10 Professional teams, all based in Germany. Players are hired as professional athletes in the same sense that a basketball player competes for a team in the NBA. They train and prepare together for the season. The season runs September through May in which the last few weeks of the season are the playoffs. Teams play for the prestige of being the TTBL Champion. Teams write contracts with their player which gives them a salary and bonuses based on their performances. In a statement by Nico Stehle, commissioner of TTBL, Awareness of the TTBL and professional table tennis worldwide will continue to build on the passion and popularity of the sport!
